The Douglasville law firm of Sherrod and Bernard teamed up with Highlanders Tavern and All Pro Contractor to provide lunches last Wednesday for the employees at WellStar Douglas who are on the front line in the Covid-19 fight.  Law firm spokesman Lauren Sitton said, “our firm wanted to show gratitude to all of those putting themselves in direct danger to treat this horrible virus. These medical heroes are making our community safer and we are so appreciative.”

Highlander Tavern prepared over 250 meals that fed the hospital workers. Highlander’s manager Gina Davis added, “we are thrilled to provide great food to awesome people working in the trenches.”

The food was well-received as the hospital staff has worked tirelessly in recent weeks. WellStar Douglas President Craig Owens expressed gratitude to the local small businesses for reaching out and sponsoring food for his entire care team.

Thanks to Heidi Smallwood who took the photos.
