Pedestrian Car Accident in DeKalb County

Location: DeKalb County, Georgia

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a pedestrian sustained injuries in a collision with a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputy Thursday morning. The accident happened on 3700 block of Rockbridge Road in DeKalb County. The pedestrian was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment and the Sheriff’s Deputy was not injured in the wreck.

A DeKalb County Sheriff’s Sergeant stated that the Deputy was traveling to work with the incident occurred. The pedestrian ran down the driveway and impacted the side of the Deputy’s vehicle. At this time, the Deputy has not been charged regarding this accident.

This pedestrian accident is being investigated by the DeKalb County Police Department and by the Sheriff’s Office of Professional Standards.
